Ambassador of Belarus S.Rachkov meets the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt

On October 24, 2017 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sergei Rachkov, met with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Yasser El-Kady.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of opinions regarding the development of information and communication technology sector in Belarus and in Egypt. The possibilities of enhancement of the Belarusian-Egyptian cooperation in the mentioned area were discussed, in particular, through supply of equipment, considering a possibility of joint high-tech productions creation, exchange of experience in the field of digital economy development.

The sides touched upon the prospects of cooperation in the sphere of cyber security, taking into account that the Minister Yasser El-Kady is the Head of the High Council for Cyber-Security of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The parties also considered the preparation of the visit of the Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus to Egypt.

It was agreed to prepare a number of bilateral agreements for signing in the areas of communications and information technology, training of specialists, as well as to consider the possibility of organizing a joint exposition of Belarusian companies in the field of communications and information technology in Cairo.
