Ambassador of Belarus A.Mikhnevich meets the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization

On September 7, 2016 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Belgium, Permanent Representative of Belarus to the EU, Aleksandr Mikhnevich, met with the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization, Kunio Mikuriya.
A.Mikhnevich informed K.Mikuriya on the key foreign trade priorities of Belarus, current activities of the Belarusian customs service.
The Belarusian diplomat thanked the Secretary General for the capacity building assistance provided by the WCO to the Belarusian customs and expressed interest in extending cooperation between the State Customs Committee of Belarus and the WCO.
K.Mikuriya appreciated the close cooperation of the Belarusian customs with the customs services of other countries. He pointed out the important role of Belarus in the integration processes between Lisbon and Vladivostok.
A.Mikhnevich invited the WCO Secretary General to participate in the conference “Laying the foundation in the UNECE region for economic integration and sustainable development towards 2030” to be held in Minsk in October 2016.
