On Belarus-Bulgaria Business Forum

On August 9, 2013 Mr.Vladimir Voronkovich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Bulgaria, took part in the work of Belarus-Bulgaria business forum and business matchmaking session that took place in Parvomay, Plovdiv Province.

The delegation of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange headed by the Chairman of the Executive Board Mr.Arkadiy Salikov took part in the forum. From the Bulgarian side – the Governors of Plovdiv, Parvomay, Haskovo, the representatives of Plovdiv and Haskovo Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as regional business circles – took part in the forum.

Mr.Vladimir Voronkovich presented information on the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, experience in using Belarusian agricultural technical equipment in Bulgaria. The participants received information materials on Belarus economic potential.

Mr.Arkadiy Salikov informed the participants on the possibilities of using the instruments of electronic and exchange trade of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, opening of the regional stock in Gabrovo that will extend cooperation between the countries.

During the negotiations the parties discussed the prospects of trade and economic relations development between the business entities of the two countries by means of Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange services on the organization of electronic and exchange trade.

Within the forum the Ambassador of Belarus held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Mr.Dimitar Grekov.

The sides discussed the development of cooperation between the Ministries of Agriculture of Belarus and Bulgaria within the current Agreement on the economic, scientific and technical cooperation. The parties considered the issues of the preparation for the 4th session of the Intergovernmental Committee on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
