Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus A.Dapkiunas meets the Ambassador of Iraq

On November 3, 2017 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Andrei Dapkiunas, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to the Russian Federation, Haidar Mansour Hadi.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a number of issues related to the closure of the Embassy of Iraq in Minsk.  According to the Iraqi Ambassador, this measure is a temporary one.

The Deputy Minister and the Ambassador of Iraq exchanged opinions on the ways to develop further cooperation in new circumstances, including via the Iraqi Embassy in Moscow and recently appointed Honorary Consul of Belarus in Baghdad. The parties also considered the possibility of appointment of a new Ambassador of Iraq to Belarus (non-resident)
