Ambassador of Belarus A.Mikhnevich visits Luxembourg

On November 14-15, 2019, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of Belgium and to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Aleksandr Mikhnevich paid a working visit to Luxembourg.

On November 14, 2019 within a solemn event organized by the National Olympic Committee of Luxembourg with aim to mark the end of the sports year, Ambassador A.Mikhnevich had a brief conversation with the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Henri. During the conversation, the Luxembourg side noted the high level of organization of the II European Games in Belarus, and also thanked for the warm welcome of the Luxembourg national team in Minsk.

On November 15, 2019, the Ambassador met with the Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), L.Pavlova. During the meeting the modalities of the signing of bilateral agreements between Belarus and the EIB were agreed. The sides also discussed other projects of Belarusian interest and outlined concrete steps to further increase of interaction and involving a larger number of participants from governmental organizations and private enterprises from Belarus.

On November 15, 2019, Ambassador A.Mikhnevich also met with the Head of the Department of Russia and the CIS, the Council of Europe, the OSCE of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, T.Lippert. During the negotiations the parties discussed current issues of the bilateral agenda and outlined areas of cooperation and joint events for 2020, including a number of bilateral high-level meetings estimated in Minsk and Luxembourg.
