Second session of the Belarusian-Austrian business council

On September 20, 2016 Vienna hosted the 2nd session of the Belarusian-Austrian Business Council.

The Belarusian side at the meeting was headed by the general director of the Minsk office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Alexander Fedorchuk, Austrian side was led by the Vice-President of the Union of Industrialists of Austria, Hubert Burch.



The Belarusian delegation included representatives of the “BSW”, “Priorbank”, FEZ “Vitebsk”, Industrial Park “Great Stone”, as well as a number of other companies and organizations. The event was attended by representatives of more than 30 Austrian companies.

The meeting of the Council was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Austria, Valery Voronetsky, and the President of Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Christoph Leitl.



The Council focused on the conditions for doing business in Belarus, promising areas of cooperation, assessment of the effectiveness of joint projects, as well as a number of other issues.

Possibilities of funding and insurance of investment projects, the establishment of subsidiaries in Belarus, investment activity on the territory of FEZ, Industrial Park, Hi-Tech Park, as well as small and medium-sized cities were presented to Austrian businessmen.

During the meeting of Council, B2B forum with the participation of representatives of the two countries' business took place.
