Ambassador of Belarus V.Markovich meets the Speaker of the Saeima of Latvia

On January 8, 2019 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Latvia, Vasily Markovich, met with the Speaker of the Saeima of Latvia, Ināra Mūrniece.
The issues of Belarusian-Latvian cooperation, as well as interaction between Belarus and the European Union were discussed.
The sides stressed the importance of the development of good-neighborly, partner and mutually beneficial relations between the two countries. The spheres of economics, transport and transit were singled out as a priority.
The parties also stated active and efficient interaction between the parliaments of Belarus and Latvia, including contacts between the groups of cooperation and commissions, as well as confirmed their readiness for continuing and raising the level of the inter-parliamentary contacts.
