Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN Office Y.Ambrazevich meets the Secretary-General of the ITU

On September 9, 2016 the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the UN Office and Other International Organizations at Geneva, Yury Ambrazevich, met with the Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union, Houlin Zhao.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current state and prospects for cooperation between Belarus and the ITU, including the participation of representatives of our country in the high-level events of the ITU Telecom World 2016 to be held in November in Bangkok.
Background Information: ITU Telecom World 2016 – is an annual major event in the sphere of information and telecommunication technologies, which is being held since 1971 to facilitate widest and fastest possible dissemination of ideas and to promote the use of innovative transforming solutions, which are based on modern information and telecommunication technologies. The exhibition is a meeting place for high-level representatives of state and private sectors, as well as small and medium ICT-enterprises.
