Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Aleinik meets the President of Equatorial Guinea

On November 15, 2023 the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Aleinik, headed a Belarusian delegation consisting of the Ministers of Agriculture Sergei Bartosh and HealthCare Dmitry Pinevich and Deputy Chair of the State Committee for Science and Technology Tatiana Stolyarova met with the President of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

In the course of the meeting, following the meetings of the Belarusian delegation in Malabo, the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in agriculture, health care, education, science and technology, industry, construction, etc. were thoroughly discussed.

The President of Equatorial Guinea separately highlighted the highly topical issue of food security. He noted that the experience of the Belarusian side in this area is especially in demand in Africa.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of joint projects in fish processing and the creation of agrarian complexes in Equatorial Guinea based on Belarusian projects. The sides touched upon the supply of Belarusian agricultural, municipal and construction machinery for the needs of the Equatorial Guinean economy.

The President of Equatorial Guinea has confirmed the invitation to the President of Belarus to pay a visit to his country, emphasising that Equatorial Guinea is expecting and seriously preparing for the visit of the Head of Belarusian State. In this connection, considerable attention was paid to the content of the upcoming talks at the highest level.
