Foreign Students at Gomel State Medical University to be Taught in English

Foreign students at the Gomel State Medical University will be taught in English.

As Professor Sergei Zhavoronok, the rector of the university, said, pilot English-speaking groups are planned to be set up next year already. According to the rector, this is made not only to raise the university’s prestige, but also to press competitors on the European market of training specialists. After all, training of foreign students is very profitable sector.

Now about 200 international students from 20 countries are studying at the Gomel State Medical University. The majority of the future doctors come from India, Sri-Lanka, Nepal, Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
