Solemn hoisting of the flag of Belarus in front of the RATS SCO headquarters in Tashkent

On 30 July 2024, an official ceremony of raising of the National Flag of the Republic of Belarus was held at the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) Executive Committee in Tashkent, following Belarus's accession to the SCO as a full-fledged Member State at recent SCO Summit in Astana.
The ceremony was attended by Ruslan Mirzaev, the Director of the RATS SCO Executive Committee, representatives of the leadership of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, ambassadors and permanent representatives of SCO member states, observers and dialogue partners.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Terebov.
In the speeches held during the event, the importance of Belarus joining the "Shanghai Ten" and joining the collective efforts and cooperation on the SCO RATS platform in the fight against terrorism, separatism and extremism was emphasized.
Following the ceremony, the Belarusian delegation met with the Director of the Executive Committee Ruslan Mirzaev took place.
