First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Andrei Yeudachenka meets the Head of OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Programme

On September 28, 2016 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Andrei Yeudachenka, met with the Head of the OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Programme, Antonio Somma.



The sides discussed current status and prospect of cooperation between Belarus and the OECD – an influential international organization that serves as a platform for multilateral negotiations on a wide range of economic issues.

Belarus effectively collaborates with the OECD in a number of areas of interest, including improvement of competitiveness, transport, environmental protection, taxation, and fight against corruption.

The sides discussed the issues of participation of the Republic of Belarus in the Eurasia Week 2016 to be held at the OECD Headquarters in Paris on November 22 – 24, 2016.

The peer review on “Upgrading small and medium size enterprises capacity through business support services in Belarus» will be carried out for the first time in the framework of the Eurasia Week.

This review will provide useful recommendations for developing of entrepreneurship in Belarus and help to improve competitiveness of the national economy.
