National Exposition of Belarus at the India International Trade Fair

On November 14, 2016 the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus has opened in New Delhi at the 36th India International Trade Fair.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India, Vitaly Prima, and the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, Petr Baltrukovich.

Over 60 Belarusian companies showcasing their products and services in the fields of machinery and engineering, petrochemical industry, food and light industries, health care, science and education. Among the participants are the well-known brands: “BELAZ”, “MAZ”, “Amkodor”, “Minsk Bearing Plant”, “Kommunarka” and “Spartak”, “MINSK KRISTALL”, and others.

The business program of the National Exposition includes presentations of participating companies and their products, as well as B2B meetings. In addition, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in India will hold the 10th meeting of the Business Cooperation Council “Belarus – India”.

The Days of Belarusian Science are also taking place in India. During the event, the round tables “The perspective directions of scientific, technical and innovation cooperation between the organizations of Belarus and India”, as well as the Belarusian-Indian scientific and practical seminar on cyber security and supercomputers will be held.

During the visit to India, representatives of the Belarusian delegation met with the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of India, Ashutosh Sharma. In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed directions for further development of bilateral scientific and innovative cooperation, as well as approved the list of prospective studies for 2017-2018.
