Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs A.Dapkiunas meets the Ambassador of China

On November 27, 2018, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Andrei Dapkiunas met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming.

The sides discussed issues of the World Trade Organization reform and reassured the principled support of the two countries for open and fair multilateral trade system designed to ensure a stable and predictable environment for international trade. Belarusian and Chinese diplomats have agreed that the equitable development focused on the interests of the developed and developing countries of WTO is gaining great importance within the context of creation of the Community of Common Destiny in the global trade system. Cui Qiming confirmed full Chinese support in negotiations on the accession of Belarus to WTO.

A.Dapkiunas and Cui Qiming also discussed the preparation to stocktaking events on the Year of Belarusian Tourism in China, to be held in Belarus on December 21-24, 2018. The Deputy Minister and the Ambassador noted the significant intensification of the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation on tourism at the inter-regional level between the regions of Belarus and provinces of China — and the feasibility of further joint actions in promotion of the tourist exchange expansion between the two countries.
