Ambassador of Belarus L.Marynich meets the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan

On November 18, 2020 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Leonid Marynich, met with the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Farhod Arziev.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, with an emphasis on intensifying trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan.

The Ambassador of Belarus informed F.Arziev about topical issues of cooperation between the two countries in the trade and economic sphere and the ongoing joint projects. He focused on the need to promote the development of a relatively new area of cooperation – interaction between the regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan.

The parties supported the need to update the “Roadmap” for the development of Belarusian-Uzbek cooperation, filling it with new projects and initiatives.

The preparation of the VIII meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, as well as consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries were discussed.
