Opening ceremony of the Commemorative plaque on the building, which in 1919 housed the Commissariat for Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Soviet Republic of Belarus

On January 20, 2017 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, participated in the opening ceremony of the Commemorative plaque on the building, which in 1919 housed the Commissariat for Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Soviet Republic of Belarus.



In his statement, V.Makei noted that this event is an important page in the history of the Belarusian state, the formation of the Belarusian state system. Opening of the Commemorative plaque is a tribute to those who were pioneers of the Belarusian diplomacy.



The Foreign Minister stressed that for already 100 years objectives and principles of the Belarusian diplomacy remain unchanged: protection of national interests, security and qualified representation of Belarus on the international arena.



The leadership of the Minsk City Executive Committee, former Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Belarus, veterans of the Belarusian diplomatic service, representatives of state and public organizations, diplomatic corps accredited in our country attended the ceremony.
