First Deputy Foreign Minister A.Guryanov meets the First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary

On September 1, 2020 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affirs of the Republic of Belarus, Alexandr Guryanov, met with the First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary, Viktor Guminsky.
The Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Belarus under the statutory and other bodies of the CIS, Marina Dolgopolova, also took part in a meeting.
The central theme of the meeting was the preparation of the Republic of Belarus to the CIS presidency in 2021. In this context the draft Concept of the Belarusian presidency and the draft Action plan for its implementation were considered.
The sides also discussed the process of preparing for the meetings of the Commonwealth’s statutory bodies to be held in the autumn of 2020, measures taken by the CIS member states in the field of health and economy to minimize negative consequences of coronavirus epidemics, as well as other relevant issues of multilateral cooperation within the CIS.
