Ambassador of Belarus I.Paluyan meets the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration of Ecuador

On May 5, 2016 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Ecuador, Igar Paluyan, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration of Ecuador, Fernando Yepez Lasso.

In the course of the meeting, the parties discussed main issues of bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic, scientific and technical, educational and other spheres. A special attention was paid to the issues of deepening interstate dialogue at the highest and high levels, preparation for the Third Session of the Belarusian-Ecuadorian Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation in 2016 and activities in Ecuador of Belarusians companies “Belorusneft” and “Belzarubezhstroy”.

The Belarusian Ambassador expressed his sincere condolences to the Ecuadorian people in connection with numerous victims as a result of happened on April 16 the most destructive in the past 67 years earthquake.

In this context, the sides exchanged views on the possible mechanisms of Belarus' participation in the process of reconstruction of infrastructure in the most affected by earthquake provinces of Ecuador, Manabi and Esmeraldas.
