The head of the Belarusian delegation spoke during an interactive discussion with the new High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet.

The representative pointed out the need to develop more mechanisms of cooperation and dialogue in the Human Rights Council and in the international human rights system in general, similar to the Universal periodic review.
Belarus urged the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to make greater use of expert assistance, best practices and technical cooperation while interacting with States.
