Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus V.Makei meets the Head of the Foreign Service of Syria

On September 23, 2016 at the UN Headquarters, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria, Walid al-Muallem.

Syrian Minister briefed Vladimir Makei on the situation in Syria, as well as some details of agreements between Russia and the U.S. on the settlement of the situation in the country.

The Head of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed his support of the efforts aimed at peaceful resolution of the conflict in the interest of the Syrian people. W. al-Muallem expressed his appreciation to Belarus for providing humanitarian assistance to Syria.
