Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov to pay a working visit to Belarus

On May 15-16, 2016 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, will pay a working visit to the Republic of Belarus.

Along with annual Joint Session of the Panel of the Foreign Offices of the two countries, annual exchange of visits is a traditional form of close cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia.

In the course of the visit, the negotiations between Sergey Lavrov and Vladimir Makei are scheduled. The meeting agenda includes a wide range of the current issues of bilateral Belarusian-Russian cooperation, joint activity in different international organizations, first of all in the Eurasian Economic Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The parties intend to exchange opinions on the most pressing issues of regional and international security and stability.

During the negotiations, the sides will also touch upon the issues of the development of the legal framework and cooperation of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia.

Delegation of Political Directors of the Benelux countries Foreign Offices to visit Belarus

On May 17, 2016 Delegation of Political Directors of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg) will pay a working visit to Belarus.

In the course of the visit, meetings of the Delegation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Alena Kupchyna are scheduled.

The parties will exchange opinions on the most important issues of the regional and global agenda, discuss a wide range of issues related to Belarus' cooperation with the European Union and its member states.
