Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus E.Shestakov holds meetings at the governmental bodies of Uruguay

On November 25, 2016 during the visit to the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Evgeny Shestakov, held meetings with the Sub-Secretary (Deputy Minister) of the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries of Uruguay, Enso Benech, and the CEO of the “Uruguay XXI Institute”, Antonio Karambula.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the state and prospects for development of trade and economic cooperation, facilitation of joint projects, formation of the legal framework, intensification of the exchange of visits of representatives of business circles of the two countries. The parties also considered the possibility of delivery of Belarusian agricultural equipment to small and medium-sized farms of Uruguay.

At the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay with the participation of the Coordinator of the Unit of International Relations and Cooperation, Stephanie Grunwald, Manager of the Industrialization of the National Industry Department of the Ministry, Daniel Kefeli, and the Manager of the Development of the National Energy Department, Antonella Tambasko, the sides exchanged opinions on the enhancement of business and investment cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering. E.Shestakov presented the industrial potential of the Republic of Belarus and noted the most promising areas of cooperation.
