Consultations with the delegation of the Secretariat of the Central European Initiative

On October 28, 2016 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus hosted the consultations with the delegation of the Secretariat of the Central European Initiative (CEI) on interactions during the Presidency of Belarus in CEI in 2017.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alena Kupchyna, the European delegation was led by the CEI Secretary General, Giovanni Caracciolo di Vetri.
The parties discussed in detail the modalities of preparation and holding of all regular activities of the CEI in Belarus, including the meeting of foreign ministers and heads of governments, meetings of the Parliamentary Assembly of the CEI, the thematic ministerial meetings and cultural events.
Currently, Belarus, together with the Secretariat and CEI-participating countries finalizes the Programme of Belarus’ Presidency, which will be presented to the public at the end of 2016.
During its Presidency of the CEI Belarus plans to pay special attention to the compatibility in Europe in the wider context.
