Ambassador of Belarus A.Aleksandrov visits Mexico

On October 1-5, 2017 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Cuba and the United Mexican States non-resident, Aleksandr Aleksandrov, visited Mexico.

A.Aleksandrov met with the President of the Senate of Mexico, Ernesto Cordero Arroyo, as well as the chairmen of the commissions on international affairs of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. The sides discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda, as well as ways to intensify inter-parliamentary relations.

The Ambassador of Belarus also took part in the solemn ceremony of signing the act on the establishment of a friendship group “Mexico-Belarus” in the Mexican Parliament.

During the visit, the Ambassador of Belarus also held meetings with the leadership of the ministries of foreign affairs, economy, agriculture, representatives of business circles in Mexico. The issues of expanding the legal base of bilateral relations, strengthening the Belarusian-Mexican cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, preparing the first meeting of the joint economic commission, consultations between the Foreign Ministries, as well as organizing a number of bilateral projects of mutual interest were considered.
