First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus S.Aleinik took part in opening ceremony of the Consulate General of Belarus in Mumbai

On August 4, 2022, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, took part in the opening ceremony of the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Mumbai.

 

 

In his statement at the ceremony, S. Aleinik, noted, that opening of one more Belarusian representation office in India on 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries symbolizes a significant progress in development of political, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation. The First Deputy Minister characterized cooperation with India as one of the priorities of Belarus' foreign policy.

From the Indian side, the opening ceremony was attended by the Secretary of Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection of the state of Maharashtra Vijay Waghmare.

The event was also attended by the heads of consular institutions, accredited in Mumbai, representatives of local mass media, as well as Belarusian and Indian business community.

On the same day, S.Aleinik met with the Chief Secretary of the Government of Maharashtra Manu Kumar Srivastava. During the meeting the prospects of development of interregional, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation were discussed.
