Ambassador of Belarus A.Kupchyna speaks at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy

On September 25, 2017 at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Austria, Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna, Alena Kupchyna, participated in the event “Belarus-Austria: Building Bridges and Promoting Connectivity in a Wider Europe”. The event was organized by the authoritative Austrian analytical center — The Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe together with the Vienna Diplomatic Academy.



In her speech, A.Kupchyna highlighted the key moments of the history and the current stage of development of Belarus, outlined the Belarusian approaches to building relations with foreign partners, highlighting our country's contribution to strengthening security and stability in the regional and global context, including the initiative for a new Helsinki process.



The Ambassador of Belarus noted the existence of long-standing traditions of constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Austria in various fields and drew attention to the proximity of the Belarusian and Austrian positions on a number of issues on the current international and European agenda.



In particular, both countries are making active efforts to prevent economic fragmentation and promote economic connectivity in the European and Eurasian space.
