Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alena Kupchyna visits Brussels

On September 3, 2015 Deputy Foreign Minister Alena Kupchyna led Belarusian delegation at the sixth round of consultations on modernization matters between Belarus and the European Union in Brussels.
The EU delegation was headed by Gunnar Wiegand, Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE of the European External Action Service (EEAS).
The parties took stock of the results of the previous discussion rounds and discussed the prospects of cooperation in priority areas as agreed at the consultations in 2014 – 2015.
Alena Kupchyna also held meetings with senior officials and representatives of the EEAS, the European Commission and the European Parliament Delegation for relations with Belarus. During the meetings issues related to the development of relations between Belarus and the EU were discussed.
