Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov meets the Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia

On January 27, 2025 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, met with the Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, Kairat Sarybay.

The Minister expressed gratitude to the CICA Secretary General for accepting the invitation and observing in his personal capacity the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus. M.Ryzhenkov noted that electoral sovereignty is an important element of national security.

The parties discussed the possibilities of intensifying cooperation between Belarus and the CICA and promoting Belarusian initiatives on the pan-Asian platform. It was noted that Belarus is ready and can play an active role in the activities of the CICA and the implementation of its goals and objectives. 

The Minister emphasized the importance of CICA as a regional platform for developing effective mechanisms and approaches, as well as practical measures to ensure security in Asia in the current geopolitical conditions. Maxim Ryzhenkov called on CICA to play an active role in promoting the vision of the Eurasian Charter of diversity and multipolarity in the 21st century.
