Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei meets the delegation of the U.S. Department of State

On May 18, 2016 Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei met with the delegation of the U.S. Department of State headed by U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Bridget Brink.
The parties discussed the state of Belarus – U.S. relations and prospects of their development, and exchanged opinions regarding the situation in the European region.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alena Kupchyna also met with the delegation holding a detailed discussion on development of bilateral cooperation, and economic cooperation in particular, as well as some possible areas of cooperation in international organizations.
The sides held a third round of Belarus – United States Human Rights Dialogue within which Belarusian and American state officials articulate positions and share opinions on human rights related matters, including discussion of certain issues where positions of the sides differ. These matters were discussed at the meetings of Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei and Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alena Kupchyna with the American delegation.
