Belarus — Turkey Political Consultations

On July 15, 2016 Ankara (Republic of Turkey) hosted Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Turkey.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alena Kupchyna. The Delegation of Turkey was led by the Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ali Kemal Aydin.

The sides discussed a wide range of issues of both bilateral and international agenda, and agreed upon the Action Plan for 2016-2017 to promote cooperation between the two countries. Particular emphasis was placed on the further development of the Belarus — Turkey High-Level Dialogue.

During the visit to Ankara, Alena Kupchyna also held a meeting with the Co-chair of the Belarus — Turkey Joint Intergovernmental Economic Commission, Minister of Forestry and Water Resources of Turkey, Veysel Eroğlu.

In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of trade and economic cooperation, as well as the facilitation of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission to be held in Minsk.
