Belarus-Canada consultations held in Minsk

On September 27, 2018 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus hosted Belarus – Canadian consultations on political matters. The Belarusian side at the consultations was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Kravchenko, the Canadian side — by Assistant Deputy Minister of Global Affairs Canada Stefanie Beck.

The parties discussed in detail current situation and prospects of development of Belarus – Canada relationship, including in economic and humanitarian spheres, regional and global security, as well as possibilities for cooperation in international organizations.

On the same day, Oleg Kravchenko, Stefanie Beck and members of the Canadian trade mission are participating in the First Belarus-Canada Business Forum organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Trade and Industry and the Canadian Eurasia Russia Business Association.

Canadian businessmen plan to visit BelAZ dump-truck manufacturer, Hi-Tech Park and China-Belarus industrial park “Great Stone”.

The delegation headed by Assistant Deputy Minister of Global Affairs Canada Stefanie Beck visits Belarus on September 26-28. This is the first time in Belarus – Canada relations that such high-ranking delegation of the Canadian Foreign Ministry visits our country. The delegation includes representatives of the Global Affairs Canada, the Office of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada, the Embassy of Canada in Poland, and a range of Canadian companies.
