Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus V.Makei meets Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia S.Lavrov

On May 16, 2016 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Makei met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov. The meeting was held within the framework of the working visit of the Head of Russian Foreign Ministry to Belarus.
During the talks in narrow and extended formats, the sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation and joint work within the framework of integration associations, interactions in international organizations.
The two sides exchanged views on topical issues of regional and global security and stability, discussed the processes of development of the EAEC and modernization of the CIS. The sides agreed on mutual support within the UN.
Participants of the talks also discussed the development of the bilateral legal framework and the interaction between the foreign ministers of two countries. During the meetings the dates of the joint meeting of the board of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus and the Russian Foreign Ministry were agreed.
