MFA Press Service Comments on Accreditation of Foreign Journalists to Cover Ice Hockey World Championship 2014 in Minsk

The accreditation of foreign journalists to cover Ice Hockey World Championship 2014 in Minsk is carried out by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) within the defined quota: 300 journalists and 100 photo reporters.
Foreign journalists accredited by IIHF need no visa for entry into Belarus and no accreditation from MFA. The aforementioned representatives of mass media can freely carry out their professional activities.
Foreign journalists who don’t have IIHF accreditation must apply for foreign journalist accreditation from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and obtain a visa for entry into Belarus following the established procedures.
