Head of the America Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Oleg Kravchenko visits Mexico City

On June 21-25, 2015 Head of the America Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Oleg Kravchenko visited Mexico City.

During the visit consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Mexico took place. The Mexican delegation was led by Director General for Europe of the Foreign Ministry Alejandro Negrin.

The parties exchanged views on the entire range of bilateral issues, including development of political dialogue, trade and economic relations, as well as establishment of cooperation in education, culture, science and technology.

Oleg Kravchenko held meetings with Deputy of the General Congress of Mexico, Head of the Mexico-Belarus Friendship Group Magdalena Del Socorro Núñez Monreal, as well as in the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee. The issues of strengthening bilateral inter-parliamentary ties were discussed.

Meetings in the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade and Chamber of Commerce of Mexico City took place. The Belarusian side presented opportunities of trade and economic cooperation with Belarus. The sides also discussed possible areas of Belarusian-Mexican business cooperation.

It was agreed to host the Belarus-Mexico Economic Forum in Mexico City, as well as to develop cooperation with the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Head of the MFA America Department also gave a lecture on the foreign policy of Belarus to the students of the Diplomatic Academy of Mexico.
