Ambassador of Belarus V.Markovich meets the Minister for Environmental Protection and Regional Development of Latvia

On April 10, 2019 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Latvia, Vasily Markovich, met with the Minister for Environmental Protection and Regional Development of Latvia, Juris Pūce.
During the meeting, the issues of interaction between Belarus and Latvia in the field of ecology were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of existing and the conclusion of new bilateral documents, organization of expert meetings, participation in joint projects financed by the EU, including the trans-border cooperation programme “Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus”.
The sides underlined the importance of maintaining continuity and further development of fruitful cooperation between the two countries, including at the regional level, taking into account the necessity to solve common problems in the field of environmental protection.
