Belarus-German consultations on foreign policy analysis and planning

On June 8, 2016 Berlin hosted regular round of annual consultations on the issues of foreign policy analysis and planning between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Belarusian delegation was led by the Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Analysis of the MFA, Vyacheslav Kachanov, German delegation was headed by the Chief of Staff of Policy Planning of the MFA, Thomas Bagger.
During the consultations, the sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including the problems of global and regional security, current challenges and threats, as well as integration processes in Eurasia and beyond its’ borders. The parties discussed some aspects of the development of the Belarusian-European and the Belarusian-German relations.
During the visit to Berlin, the Belarusian delegation held several meetings with representatives of leading German think tanks.
