On February 6, 2017 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Turkey, Andrei Savinykh, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Umit Yardım.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda. Special attention was paid to the facilitation of Belarus-Turkey Intergovernmental economic commission (IEC) to be held in Minsk in the coming months.
The parties considered the possibility of holding the meeting of the Belarus-Turkey Business Cooperation Council on the margins of the Intergovernmental Commission. Ambassador of Belarus stressed that the meeting of business representatives of the two countries would help to fill the IEC decisions with specific practical content.
The parties also discussed preparations for the next round of Inter-ministerial Consultations at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers to be held in Minsk in 2017.
