Contract for supply of “BelAZ” dump trucks to Turkmenistan concluded
19 February 2003A contract for supply of dump trucks to Turkmenistan has been concluded by the Belarusian automobile works /BelAZ/. During the first quarter of 2003 this Belarusian enterprise will supply BelAZ-7540B dump trucks of the 30-ton carrying capacity, BelAZ-7822-10 frontlifts and BelAZ-7823-10 bulldozers to Turkmenistan. The contract was signed within the framework of the inter-state agreement between the Republic of Belarus and Turkmenistan on long-standing cooperation in the sphere of the agricultural, automobile and bus equipment. Now more than 200 dump trucks are exploited in Turkmenistan. According to the contract the Belarusian dump trucks will take part in construction of the hydro-technical dam at the storage pond Dostluk. In future the BelAZ plans to conclude contracts for supplies of its equipment for the road construction and chemical industry of Turkmenistan. The republic also intends to buy “MAZ” trucks and tractors “Belarus”.
