Exchange of Letters of Congratulation between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Finland on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations

On February 27, 2017 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Ostrovsky, met with the Deputy Director General of the Department of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Vesa Vasara.

During the meeting, the Letter of Congratulation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland, Timo Soini, on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Finland (on February 26, 2017) was handed over to the Finnish side.

The sides discussed current state and prospects for the development of Belarus-Finland cooperation.

On the same day, the Head of the Minsk Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Finland in the Republic of Lithuania, Lauri Pullola, handed to the Deputy Director of the Department of Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Elena Shpakova, the Letter of Congratulation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland addressed to the Head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
