On the 12th session of the Belarusian-Slovak Joint Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific Cooperation

On October 1-2, 2015 the 12th session of the Belarusian-Slovak Joint Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific cooperation, accompanied by the business forum with around 100 representatives from both countries, took place in Minsk.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandr Guryanov, the Slovak delegation was led by Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy Rastislav Chovanec.

On October 1, 2015 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted bilateral meeting of Co-chairmen of the Commission. The parties discussed available ways of further strengthening the Belarusian-Slovak relations in all spheres.

Within the framework of the Commission special attention was given to the issues of bilateral cooperation in economic, industrial, agricultural, scientific and tourist spheres, as well as interaction in the field of standartization and between the financial institutions of both countries.

The sides signed the final Protocol on the results of the agreements reached at the meeting.

The agreement on cooperation between «Eximgarant of Belarus» and «Export-Import Bank» of the Slovak Republic was signed during the Commission.

Secretary of State of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Magdaléna Lacko-Bartošová was also a part of the Slovak delegation. Before the Commission her negotiations on enhancing of bilateral interaction in the sphere of agriculture took place at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus.
