Ambassador of Belarus V.Skvortsov meets the Minister of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption of Israel

On October 25, 2016 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the State of Israel, Vladimir Skvortsov, met with the Minister of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption, the Co-Chair of the Joint Belarusian-Israeli Committee on trade and economic cooperation, Sofa Landver.

The Director of the Department of “Eurasia-1” of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, the implementation of the agreements reached during the fourth session of the Joint Belarus-Israel Committee on trade and economic cooperation, as well as the preparation of the fifth session of the Committee to be held in Minsk in 2017.

The sides also discussed various areas of inter-agency cooperation, including the collaboration between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries in the form of expert consultations on foreign policy, legal framework and consular issues.

Special attention was paid to the celebration in May 2017 of the 25th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Israel. The sides discussed the organization of events dedicated to this significant date.
