Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus regarding terrorist attack in Nice

With deep pain the Republic of Belarus has learnt the latest news about terrorist attack that happened in Nice on July 14. The devastating attack caused the death of at least 80 people, more than one hundred are injured. There are many children among the victims.

The fact that this brutal terrorist act occurred on the day of celebration by French people of their National Holiday adds a specifically cynical character to the attack.

Belarusian side vigorously condemns acts of terrorism in all their forms and manifestations, and believes that acts of violence towards civilians that became more and more frequent nowadays can not be justified and requires a strong, consolidated reaction of the international community.

We express our condolences to the families and friends of those killed and wish a speedy recovery to those injured.
