Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Moldova

On October 4-5, 2016 Minsk hosted Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Moldova on international law issues, inventory of the legal base of the bilateral cooperation.

The Belarusian delegation was led by the Director of the General Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs, Andrei Metelitsa, the Moldavian delegation was headed by the Director of the General Department of International Law and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, Anatol Chebuk.

The parties reviewed the list of interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental treaties concluded between Belarus and Moldova, exchanged opinions on the progress made on the treaty drafts which are under consideration.

During the consultation, the parties also discussed prospects and directions of the development of the legal framework of Belarusian-Moldavian cooperation within the UN, CE, CIS and other international organizations, shared experience on the procedure of conclusion and implementation of treaties, as well as considered other issues of international law that are of mutual interest.
