On September 28, 2016 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Andrei Yeudachenka, participated in the International scientific conference «25 years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: results and prospects», which takes place on September 28-29 in Minsk at the National Academy of Science of Belarus and the CIS Executive Committee.

The Conference was attended by the representatives of state bodies of the CIS countries, Heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Belarus, Permanent representatives of the CIS member states, members of the Committee on Economic Affairs of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Heads of research and educational institutions, scientists, cultural figures.

The participants of the Conference will sum up the results of the CIS 25th years of activity and discuss the ways to improve its’ efficiency in the future.

The Conference is organized in 4 sections: “Economic cooperation and improvement of the legal framework of the CIS member-states”, “Science and innovation cooperation”, “Cooperation in the sphere of culture, tourism, sports and youth policy” and “Cooperation in the field of security, fight against crime and terrorism”.
