Belarusian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on trans-border cooperation

On April 23, 2015 Bialystok hosted tenth session of the Belarusian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on trans-border cooperation.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandr Guryanov, the Polish delegation was led by Secretary of State of the Ministry of the Interior Piotr Stachanczyk.

The sides discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest related to the development of trans-border cooperation. The delegations stressed the necessity for further work to improve the existing border infrastructure in order to expand its capacity.

During the session Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus Vladimir Vashchenko and Secretary of State of the Polish Ministry of the Interior Piotr Stachanczyk signed Intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in preventing catastrophes, natural disasters and other emergencies.
