Opening of the Embassy of Belarus in Sweden

On November 15, 2017 in Stockholm, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Oleg Kravchenko, and the State Secretary to the Minister for EU Affairs and Trade of Sweden, Oscar Stenstrom, the official opening ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Kingdom of Sweden was held.
On the same day, Stockholm hosted Consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Sweden. The Swedish delegation was headed by the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Annika Soder.
During the consultations, the sides discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda, including prospects for development of cooperation with Sweden in the political, trade and economic spheres, deepening the dialogue between Belarus and the EU, preparations for the summit within the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership initiative to be held on November 24, 2017 in Brussels.
During the visit, O.Kravchenko also met with the Director General of the Council of the Baltic Sea States Secretariat, Maira Mora.
