Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus V.Makei participates in the event on the occasion of the Victory Day

On May 8, 2017 on the eve of the Victory Day, at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, the heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited in our country together with their families visited the historical and cultural complex “Stalin's Line”.
Foreign diplomats got acquainted with the system of defensive fortifications of the Stalin Line, samples of military equipment of those years, as well as witnessed the historical reconstruction of the battle “Battle for Berlin”.
In his statement to the press, V.Makei stressed that for our country the memory of the years of the Great Patriotic War and the feat of the people who defeated fascism is sacred. Today's event gives an opportunity to the Heads of the diplomatic corps accredited in Belarus to get to know the past of our country, the bloody and dreadful part of our history, and once again remind us that this must not happen again.
