On February 12, 2019 in Bucharest the Programme of Cooperation in the Field of Culture between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Culture and National Identity of Romania was signed.
The document provides the creation of favorable conditions for bilateral cooperation, promotion of the exchange of museum exhibitions, the establishment of direct contacts in the field of cinematography, musical and theatrical art, between the libraries of the two countries.
The Programme was signed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic Belarus in Romania Andrei Grinkevich and the Minister of Culture and National Identity of Romania Valer Daniel Breaz.
In the framework of the signing ceremony the negotiations were held between the Head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission and the Minister. A. Grinkevich held a presentation on the cultural and educational potential of Belarus.
The parties discussed joint activities for the near and medium term. In particular, the organization of exhibitions of paintings of the Romanian artist Corneliu Baba at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus and Belarusian Orthodox icons at the National Art Museum of Romania was discussed.
