On February 16, 2026 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Belarus, Santiago Pérez Benítez.

The interlocutors discussed the current situation surrounding Cuba. The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry expressed unwavering support for the fraternal Cuban people, reaffirming Minsk's position on the unacceptability of unilateral coercive measures. He further emphasized the necessity of resolving all disputes through peaceful dialogue and within the framework of international law.
The parties expressed a shared commitment to continuing joint efforts to maintain the positive momentum of Belarusian-Cuban relations. They noted the coordinated efforts of Minsk and Havana in implementing the agreements reached during high-level and top-level mutual visits in 2025.
