On Cultural Cooperation between Belarus and China

Since 1992, when the diplomatic relations between Belarus and China were established, the cultural cooperation between two states has been going in line with development of the inter-state relations in the political and economic spheres, culture minister of the People’s Republic of China Sun Jiazheng stated on November 28 in the course of the meeting with culture minister of Belarus Leonid Guliako.

The head of the Chinese department congratulated his Belarusian counterpart on the successful beginning of the Days of Belarus in the People’s Republic of China, which will be held there till December 2.

According to him, the cultural exchange between Belarus and China has become regular owing to joint efforts of both states.

Culture minister of Belarus Leonid Guliako underlined that Belarus was interested in strengthening its regional contacts with China and was ready to develop them in all directions.

In the end of the negotiations two ministers signed a cooperation protocol between their departments for 2004-2006 and expressed confidence that its realization would contribute to the all-round intensification of the Belarusian-Chinese cultural relations.
